The Party

You say you know it all.
You saw me through
the  plate glass window
and decided you know me.

At the party, you had to
put me in my place.
According to you,
I was not supposed to
laugh so hard
or dance so jiggy.

According to you,
I was supposed to wear
what you brought me
even though it did not fit.
