Remnants

I think that if I move,
it will leave me
so I breathe
with the rise and fall
of my breast,
filling myself with
warmth and health
and every good memory:
a love as bright as the sun,
a place as safe as
my childhood,
all drawn out like clouds
passing over me,
overshadowing any darkness.
